A calm, meditative space

Individual Counselling

A safe, confidential space to work through what matters most to you

A space that is entirely yours

Individual counselling is an opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life and focus on yourself. In each 50-minute session, Paul offers a warm, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind.

There is no script and no set agenda. Some sessions may involve exploring past experiences, others may focus on what is happening right now. Paul works at your pace, using an integrative approach that draws on person-centred, psychodynamic and solution-focused methods, depending on what will be most helpful for you.

Everything discussed in your sessions is completely confidential. There is no pressure to share more than you are comfortable with, and no expectation to commit to a set number of sessions. This is your space, and it moves at your pace.

What individual counselling can help with

Anxiety

Persistent worry, restlessness, or a sense of dread that makes everyday life feel overwhelming. Counselling can help you understand your anxiety and develop strategies that bring calm.

Depression

Feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or emptiness that will not lift. Talking through what you are experiencing can help you reconnect with yourself and find meaning again.

Grief and loss

The pain of losing someone or something significant. There is no right way to grieve, and counselling offers a space to process your loss without pressure or judgement.

Trauma

Past experiences that continue to affect how you feel and function today. Working through trauma in a safe environment can bring understanding, relief and a sense of freedom.

Addiction

Substance use, gambling, pornography, or other compulsive behaviours that feel out of control. Paul brings genuine empathy and lived experience to this work.

Codependency

Patterns of putting others' needs before your own to an unhealthy degree, losing sight of your own identity and boundaries. Counselling can help you find your way back to yourself.

Self-esteem

A deep-seated belief that you are not good enough. Exploring where these feelings come from can help you build a more compassionate and truthful relationship with yourself.

Stress

When the pressures of work, family or life feel like too much. Counselling can help you understand what is driving your stress and find healthier ways to manage it.

Life transitions

Major changes such as separation, retirement, becoming a parent, or career shifts. These moments can shake our sense of identity, and talking them through can help you adapt and grow.
